The SUpporting STronger Access to INnovative Energy Solutions in Displacement Settings (SUSTAINED) Project, a collaborative effort implemented by Oxfam, Mercy Corps Uganda and CARE Uganda, with funding from Embassy of the Netherlands in Uganda.
This project focuses on increasing access to clean, reliable and affordable energy products and services for communities in the Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement, one of the largest refugee settlements in West Nile.
The initiative aims to make a lasting impact by reducing carbon emissions, reaching thousands of households and promoting climate resilience among smallholder farmers.
With ambitious goals, the project seeks to reduce or avoid 20,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and provide sustainable energy solutions to 5,000 households, benefiting over 30,000 individuals.
Additionally, it aims to support smallholder farmers, enhancing their productivity and resilience to climate change.
